# Surveys

Surveys are a way to perform prescreening on the Prolific Platform. You can link a Survey to a Study by setting the `external_study_url` on the Study to `https://prolific.com/surveys/[survey_id]`. You will need to define a Survey with the `sections` attribute, in order for this to render on the Prolific Application. See below for more details.
